When It Feels Like There’s Never Enough Time

Do you feel like you are not achieving enough? That there’s just not enough time to do it all? The problem is that we have been taught to divide our lives into blocks of time - with measurable “achievements”.

NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN A DAY

How often do you hear yourself say, “There’s never enough time!”

When we separate our lives into discreet blocks of time, we live in a constricted reality:

What we SHOULD have achieved in 24 hours
- How much we get paid a week.
- How much we should earn a month.
- How much progress our children are making today.
- Have they learned enough?
- Have I done enough today?
- How often do I have sex with my partner - is it enough?

Does that feel light and expansive? Or can you feel yourself contracting as you read?

Are you letting time limit you?

What if we could use time differently?

Just as a tool, not a measure and a judgement.

As Einstein said, “Time and space are not conditions in which we live, but modes by which we think.”

Quote that says What are you? How many times, spaces and possibilities do you embody today?

Since emigrating and stepping out of my everyday life, one of the most amazing things for me at this strange time-outside-of-time is losing track of these kind of measures. Watching my daughter unfold gradually, taking a broader view of her progress.

No MORE measuring and quantifying

Being aware of the past and the future in this present moment. Not limiting myself by what I haven't achieved in a day/week/month, but recognising what is being created long-term by this new trusting and relaxed space we're creating as a family.

Sometimes I have no idea what month it is, let alone the date. I see this as a valuable experience ❤️
